We all end up here somehow, me i always knew something would 'go' and i would need a replacement sooner than most due to being born with CDH, or DDH as they now call it. Thankfully medicine has moved on, and the replacement can be put off hopefully for another 10 years if i have a TRIPLE PELVIC OSTEOTOMY AND A VALGILS OSTEOTOMY OF THE FEMUR. In Layman's terms they wish to cut my ball off and re-attach with plates and screws with a gap of 1 inch to create a longer leg, and in the pelvis they wish to do three cuts and re-align me and hold it all together with screws. Scary eh?? Oh well i'm at a point where i'm excited about surgery as i want my life back. Don't ever take your health for granted as it can be quickly taken away from you when you least expect it xx
